Oh interwebs. Pretending I was sparkle pregnant for a day was funny for me. I appreciate all the responses. Especially you, Mandy – because you were the first person I thought of when I posted this. :) Consider us still to be the official weathergals of BlogHer ’11. OOO. We need t-shirts. And The Weather Channel to be our sponsors.

I planned on putting a picture up of a smoking & drinking woman to prove my jokiness…and strangely enough, the majority of results are of smoking & drinking pregnant ladies. Uh, what? I’m not about to put one of those up. Unless it’s a picture of smoking & drinking pregnant me. Because HILARIOUS. ::side-eye::

Anyway – to sum up:

Loose ends & online shopping hiatus wrap-up

I’m still alive! I promise. I’m busier than I can even explain, my mom’s in town to keep an eye on Abbers while the hubs’ parents are on vacation, we have a wedding to attend this weekend, blah blah blah. So yeah. I’m busy.

HOWEVER, loose ends to be tied:

1) My mammogram was without fanfare and also without anything out of the ordinary. So, I’ll have another again at some point. Maybe in 2 years. Although I got some weird rash where my shoulders touched the machine. Minus two points.

B) That kick-ass bamboo dry erase board? It arrived and OH SO PRETTY. And yet, was too large to fit anywhere in my house where it made sense. SADFACE. I put it back in the box and shipped it back to CB2 on Monday. A little piece of my heart broke. Although I learned a lesson: measure once, order once.

and the biggest bullet point:

#) Tomorrow is the end of the month. Which means this is the end of my first ever online shopping hiatus, which I failed miserably. When all was said and done, I had ordered that dry erase board, 2 pairs of Toms shoes (one for me and one for Abbers), and a Groupon for auto work, which kind of doesn’t count since we saved money on something we would have purchased anyway, but in the interest of full disclosure – there it is. And I TRIED to buy my Toms at Nordstrom but they didn’t have my size in stock and apparently wouldn’t FOREVER, so I bought them from Nordstrom.com instead.

Grand total spent online: $155
Minus Groupon and dry erase board (since I sent it back): $85

So, I did better this month, but not awesome.

I dare say I will try again next month.

Also, I got an iPhone last week, so I hope to be posting random photos of le bebeh more often since she’s turning into a stranger around these parts. I know you’re all really here for her anyway. Who wouldn’t be?

After spending the last 24 hours trying to determine why in God’s name I couldn’t upload images to my blog anymore (or pretty much do anything aside from post), GoDaddy came through and helped me out. I was ready to jump ship, but they made things right again. Still don’t know why my database lost write privileges (I still blame a server move on their part), but all is well in the world once again.

Did you know Puffs makes facial tissue with both lotion AND Vicks? Yeah. They do. (This should also clue you into the fact that I’m still SICKER THAN A DOG.) Anyway, here’s a tip. Don’t touch or rub your eyes after you blow your nose, because essentially you’re putting VapoRub IN YOUR GODDAMN EYES. I blame a head full of snot for prohibiting me from realizing it before it was too late.

ANYWHO – be on the lookout for some awesome pictures from Christmas to be posted later tonight!

Christmas time is here…

Good afternoon, my fine readers. I’m writing this on my couch in my babyless house. Yes my friends, I’m on vacation. Of course, the gods of comedy thought “Wouldn’t it be HILARIOUS if the one time Jenna took time off work to just relax…SHE GOT A COLD? Muah-ah-AHHHH!1!!11!”

And so it was. Granted, I knew it was only a matter of time before I got sick. The hubs has had a cold since a couple weeks ago. But…it had been so long that I kind of thought “HECK YES. IMMUNE SYSTEM!” and then we fist bump. But, after our Christmas party Saturday night (which included a 4:30am bedtime) – my immunity had left the building.

Anyway, ZOMG CHRISTMAS!! I’m so excited. I mean, I’ll be more excited after we have the five hour drive to my parents house under our belts, but excited none the less. We’ll be gone for five days, which is pretty sweet. All my gifts are wrapped, I have one left to purchase and I am READY for Santa to visit Abbers. In fact, for your viewing pleasure, here’s a cell phone picture (of the picture) of Abbers and the big man.

Okay, this is going to be one of those posts where I have no attention span because I TOTALLY FORGOT. It was discovered during our Christmas party that we suddenly have a ton of HD channels we didn’t know we had, like Comedy Central, VH1, MTV, TruTV, FX, THE WEATHER CHANNEL (!!) , E! and The Travel Channel. Can I tell you how my life is now complete? I don’t want to do anything anymore. In fact, since I woke up this morning, I’ve been watching “Most Shocking: High Speed Pursuits” on TruTV. Yep. Aside from my cold? BEST VACATION EVER.

Alright, that’s all I have right now. I still have a bunch of unpublished posts in the hopper, so keep your eyes peeled. In case I don’t get back before then, Merry Xmas to your and yours, happy belated Hanukkah, and happy solstice!
