How do I begin to explain…

A coworker walked up behind me and read this in the top right hand corner of my browser.

I started to try to explain, and decided to just say “Twitter, dude. Twitter.”

That seemed explanation enough.

If you’re not already following me and my gang of mommas and poppas on Twitter, you should. This post might make a little more sense. Otherwise, if you read probably the most awesome post written by someone other than me, it could also shed some light on any confusion.

Movies I need to see.

The Best Worst Movie. Also, I should probably see Troll 2. Since that’s what The Best Worst Movie is about.

Have you seen Troll 2? I’ve heard things. You know…not good things…just things.

Days until I have a rock n’ roll seizure in Las Vegas: 23

Days until the Twins home opener: 18

Tooth buds Abby had as of yesterday: 3 or 4

Days until I have a 5 month old on my hands: 2

Amount of cancer found in my mother-in-law: 0

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind the past few days. I’m getting more and more involved at work, Abby’s teething while my mother watches her for 8 hours a day for the first time, and my mother in law is still in recovery after her brain surgery.

Tomorrow I’m taking the day off to spend with my mom and Abbers, and maybe get some girl time in (aka SHOPPING).

Saturday is Abby’s big 5 month-day…so look for a cute new picture of her in one of her new outfits courtesy of grandma and her love of Carter’s outlet (conveniently located FIVE MINUTES from her home).

Let me pause for a moment to say…

This is a photo of me yesterday on my 29th birthday, enjoying a virgin Bloody Mary on the St. Croix river in Stillwater. After an afternoon spent in antique stores and window shopping, this was the perfect next step – Virgin Mary’s and dinner. We followed this up with cake from Woullet’s and a couple scoops of ice cream at home.

Below is a photo of me on my 28th birthday. I am the one behind the shirtless Taylor Hicks look-a-like getting my freak on. (That’s my friend Mandy in the front.) This all took place at a lovely establishment known as The Gay 90’s – a gay friendly club in Minneapolis with the BEST DRAG SHOW EVER (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise). I was drunk off my skull and had the time of my life.

Both of these birthday goings-on were my choice, and exactly what I wanted to do on that given day. The difference a year can make. Oh, and gestating a human being making my 29th the most sober birthday I’ve had in nearly a decade.

(Make no mistake – 30 will be an earth shattering event. We WILL be getting a babysitter.) :)
