A post with no purpose.

I don’t really have anything to blog about right now, but I feel I should blog since it’s Thursday and…I’d like to try and blog every day.

I’ll give a summary of my yesterday. I worked pretty hard all day, and then right around 3:30 or so, I dumped a decent portion of my hot chocolate all over my keyboard. I spent a good 15 minutes trying to sop it out and clean it up. I can smell old hot chocolate right now. It’s kinda gross. If I could just get a Mac…. Anyway, I worked until 5 or so, hopped on the train and went home. It was SO FREAKING COLD yesterday. The hubs and I decided on a frozen pizza and dinner in front of the fireplace. It was super cozy. Miles the cat laid down on me around 9pm and we both dozed off until 10 or so when I watched the news. Then we watched Leno, Letterman, and then Conan. Conan had a beard. So did Letterman but I don’t like him as much. It was a wonderful night.

Another random fact – 2 weeks from Sunday I leave for Costa Rica for our delayed honeymoon, and my good friend L’s wedding. SO EXCITED. I bought Costa Rica books and a “Costa Rican Spanish” pocket book. We’ll be there for 8 days. It’s going to be AWESOME. Monday, I ordered 5 dresses online for possible choices for L’s wedding. Four from VS and one from Zumiez. :) Yeah, I’m a 14 year old girl. Anyway, I intend on sending all but one of them back. (Please note intend is in italics. For a reason.)

Also, I bought these shoes on Tuesday. Again, I am a 14 year old girl.

I always wish I could be more of a girly girl, or be more…”adult,” but I keep buying tee shirts and sneakers and never buying heels or fancy clothes. I’ve sort of come to the realization I’m just not going to be one of those girls, ever. I’m having a hard time accepting it, but I’m getting used to it. Someday, I’ll unpack my shoes and give a grand total of sneaker to fancy shoe ratio. :)

Alright, that’s it for my Thursday ramblings. Good day.

Gasp! At UO? And $5 less?!

Ugh. Look what I found. Although not in the classy plastic chrome that MINE is, it comes in neon pink and green, for $10 at Urban Outfitters. W. As long as a bunch of 15 year olds don’t put these in their bedrooms, it will still have a home in my dining room. :)

I seem to have forgotten something…

…ah yes. Naked ring finger. Forgot to put the old wedding ring back on after cleaning yesterday. My hand looks weird, and naked. Best not tell the hubs. :)

Yes, it’s Monday morning…back to the grindstone. I have some sort of weird headache/lightheaded-ness I’m blaming on my retainer (yes, I have a retainer. I invested in braces before the wedding – best money I’ve ever spent, even though it was round two. Braces at 14? Okay. Braces in your mid 20s? Questionable.). I didn’t wear it a lot over the holiday and I think wearing it last night was rough…my teeth seem to have shifted since Thursday.

So, to recap on my Turkey Day weekend…had the grand meal at the hubs’ folks house, then went home and slept sort of and watched Elizabeth (SO GOOD). The hubs had to work Friday, so I did something I never thought I’d ever do. I went shopping on Black Friday. *GASP!* I went with the hubs’ mom & sister, and it wasn’t that bad! I assumed the crowds would eat me alive – but the only store that kind of sucked was Kohls. But they had some pretty good deals so it was understandable. Here’s what I walked away with –

Wireless router from Best Buy for $50 (a really good one!)
3 picture frames from Kohls – reg. $25/piece – on sale for $8.97/piece!
Queen sheet set 300 thread count from Target – $20
And a Christmas present for the hubs that shall go unnamed. :)

We went to see No Country for Old Men on Friday night – SO GOOD. HIGHLY recommended. The main character is so scary – he should win an Oscar for that role.

Saturday we went to a Christmas tree farm with the hubs’ family – we picked out a wreath since we don’t have a house to put a real tree in yet. It was fun – they have tons of animals and kitties to play with. Then we went to the MOA and the hubs actually bought two pairs of shoes, at once. I explained to him it’s okay to have different shoes to pick from, and he shouldn’t be wearing the same pair all the time. So – he bought these. I love them. They’re so daring and unlike any pair of shoes he’s owned since we’ve been together. I told him he needs to develop a shoe fetish like me. He said he’d consider it.

And yesterday we laid around the house, then cleaned and went to Home Depot to buy some tape and boxes. I packed one last night, full of hair and bath products. A whole box, filled with makeup and hair gel and body lotion. I am such a girl.

It took me 1 minute to find this and complete my transaction thanks to paypal. However, I think this will look lovely in the same room with my alabaster stag head. :)

Someone stop me.

Still no word.

And I just bought this for a house I don’t even know is mine yet.

My good friends Rachael and Janna bought me a smaller version which I LOVE. But the prospect of having a home to put a full size one in was too much, and ebay got me.

The phone needs to ring soon…or I might go mad and start buying furniture.
