Scoot-scoot!

Abby has turned the corner. Literally. She can scoot.

Okay – let me pause for a moment. Is that how it’s spelled? I mean, I know it’s barely a word, but I’ve been staring at it and saying it in my head for the last 20 minutes and now I can’t even tell if I make any sense anymore. Scoot? Skoot? Skooch? Scootch? Scooch? WHATEVER.

Point being, my little lady lays on her back and somehow manages to work herself across the blanket on the floor. And is also trying to commit baby-cide by pushing herself over the edge of her changing table.

She’s moving, people. It’s the beginning of the end. I sat and looked around our living room last night and realized what a fricken danger zone we live in. Wires everywhere, outlets, crap that can be pulled over, big TV to fall on her head yadda yadda yadda. We’re doomed.

I’ll try to get video soon. It’s frighteningly cute.

So…a new pretty blog!

Well, I think so at least! You’ll notice you’ve been redirected to my new blog AND my new domain – www.bloggedbliss.com! HOW EXCITING!

I left blogger because I was having issues with things displaying incorrectly, and also I’m a graphic designer. WordPress is much friendlier for me and my nerdiness.

Pretty please, update your bookmarks one last time, resubscribe via my new rss feed – do everything you need to do to stay up to date!

And if you were kind enough to drop my badge on your blog – I have an updated one available on the right.

(and all you folks who were having problems with the right side of my blog before…I FINALLY SAW IT. On my mother’s computer. It was horrible. I hope with WordPress to never have that issue again.)

SO, WELCOME! I’m so excited about being on my own domain and having this new clean layout. I still have some housekeeping to do (updating links within the blog, retagging posts, etc), but I’m pretty happy with it so far. Let me know what you think!

What was it about the worst clothing item to “come back into style…”

…that screamed “OHMIGOD. BABIES NEED HAREM PANTS!”

I used to respect you. And now, Ms McCartney? I LOATHE YOU.

5 months.

Doode. Abby. You’re FIVE MONTHS OLD TODAY. You eat rice cereal. You’re teething. You’re almost sitting up on your own. In fact, you might be able to already but I’m too busy waiting for you to tip over with my hands at the ready at all times.

Grandma and Grandpa Bee were visiting this weekend, and we celebrated your birthday month-day…thing…by making steak and watching The Hangover. Okay, so not entirely baby friendly activities, but we’d already watched Yo Gabba Gabba earlier in the evening and you got a bath, so…it all evens out.

I just can’t believe how big you’re getting. I am cherishing every minute of every day we spend together because I seriously feel like I’m going to wake up some morning and you’re going to be standing in your crib yelling “MA! GET ME A BOTTLE ALREADY! CHRIST ON A CRACKER!” and then I’ll be all “WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PAST YEAR. And say the magic word. ”

I love you baby sweets.

A summary of numbers.

Days until I have a rock n’ roll seizure in Las Vegas: 23

Days until the Twins home opener: 18

Tooth buds Abby had as of yesterday: 3 or 4

Days until I have a 5 month old on my hands: 2

Amount of cancer found in my mother-in-law: 0

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind the past few days. I’m getting more and more involved at work, Abby’s teething while my mother watches her for 8 hours a day for the first time, and my mother in law is still in recovery after her brain surgery.

Tomorrow I’m taking the day off to spend with my mom and Abbers, and maybe get some girl time in (aka SHOPPING).

Saturday is Abby’s big 5 month-day…so look for a cute new picture of her in one of her new outfits courtesy of grandma and her love of Carter’s outlet (conveniently located FIVE MINUTES from her home).
