And the winner is…

This was the winner. The light pink one didn’t fit me very well. Husband seemed to like this one the best and since I STILL have yet to install any sort of full length mirror, I have to take his word for it. :) Now – the daunting task of sending back the other ones.

I have a little visit to the, eh – wax technician this afternoon in preparation for Costa Rica. And I forgot to bring my ibuprofen buffer to take beforehand. This will be fun.

Other than having hot wax placed dangerously close to my genitals, this weekend seems to have little or nothing to do – which is fine by me. I can get some packing and more preparation done for the trip. Luckily I got all my work done last night, so I won’t need to work over the weekend – but I might bring the pc laptop home so I can practice some Spanish via the Rosetta Stone CD L burned for me.

Aside from apparently forgetting to set the alarm clock last night…

Me:
Oh my god, it’s 7:30!

Husband: WHAT?

Me: It’s 7:30! Wait, what day is it? Friday? Friday, right? Crap! What the hell!

Husband: What?

Me:I swear I turned on the alarm! Get in the shower! Crap! What the hell!?

…it’s been an uneventful day, to say the least. Alright, I have to get some work done before I board the bikini wax bus.

Ever feel like you’re drowning?

I’m sitting at work thisclose to a panic attack. I have 3 weeks of work to get done in 1.5 weeks. I’ve already divvied out enough work to my coworkers and yet I’m still busy.

Then little fires pop up, and I have to scramble to put them out. Then I start over thinking projects and can’t wrap my mind around how to complete them and how I do things. Heart starts racing, mind is racing – cue panic attack.

Someone told me about an hour ago that I have work I have to do next Thursday night at 8pm for a launch, and I don’t know what they’re talking about. I told them to just tell me what I needed to do and I’d do it…and they weren’t sure.

On top of work, I have a little over a week before we leave for Costa Rica and I have so much crap to do, both in and out of work, that I’m not even excited anymore. I’m scared of what I’ll have to face after I’ve been gone from work for a week.

I’m just completely overwhelmed.

On a side note, this is my 100th post on this blog. (insert champagne and fireworks here.)

Add two more.

Thanks Martini. :) Now I have more on my credit card.

I just ordered these two from bluefly. The pink one is BCBG and the purple one is Design Theory.

And I forgot to post about the dresses!

So, the dresses came in. Victoria’s secret is on crack.

Three of the four dresses I ordered in a size small. They all fit me totally different.

The purpley one with a print was kind of cute – but it was one of those bubble hem lines that I can’t figure looks flattering on anyone. Thank god – that was the most expensive one.

The green one is cute, but super casual. I might keep it anyway for the summer and for a day dress – it’s not wedding-y enough.

The pink one is actually terry cloth, and requires bosoms such as the lady in the picture to keep it up. I’ll be sending that back for sure.

And the black one is the one my husband told me to keep. It fits pretty well, but he made a good point – black on the beach is kind of weird. (And I only slightly agree. Black is good for any occasion – even if it is on the beach.) It’s an eyelet fabric…and since I don’t have a full length mirror in my house I have no clue what looks like on me. I’ll have to wait until I buy a mirror for my final decision. And I still have a dress coming in from Zumiez to try on (the white & black print).

You know it’s going to be a bad Monday…

…when you wake up thinking it’s the weekend. I woke up at 6:30am when my alarm went off but was in such a deep slumber I had no recollection of shutting the thing off. All I thought was, “Thank god I can sleep in today – there’s no way I could get up now.” And, within a nanosecond – the flood of memory reminding me that it is, in fact Monday, and I DO have to be up AND go to work comes pouring in. Blast.

Walking to the train was ridiculous. I must have looked like a cross between Charlie Chaplain and Tony Little maneuvering the ice. (I only mention Tony Little since I had a ponytail and sort of making “Gazelle” movements.) Four steps outside of my house and I heard the downtown bound train pull up. Again…Monday craptasticness.

And now I’m at work. I ended up being here until almost 7pm on Friday because a server was taking a shit and I had no idea how to fix it. Good times. I have another eye doc appointment this afternoon anyway, so it’ll all even out in the end, timewise. I’m hoping the doc will give me the good news that I can start wearing my contacts again and stop being four-eyes for a while. I can’t imagine trying to enjoy myself in Costa Rica with my glasses on. Can you snorkel with glasses?

I saw Juno Saturday night with L. It was her fiance’s bachelor party that my husband was attending, so she stayed at my house for the night, and we caught a movie. If it’s not too cliche – “Run! Don’t walk – to see Juno!” SUCH a good movie. I want to see it again – with the husband. Ellen Page wins.

That’s all for now. It’s officially 30 degrees in this office and I must put my coat on for fear of hypothermia.
