I just received roses from the fiance! What a day brightener! They’re so pretty and smell awesome. He is the greatest! I can’t wait to marry him!! (Was that mushy enough? I’m grossing myself out now.)
Almost an offer…
Category other people are morons
So…we were thisclose to putting an offer on a house yesterday, but due to THE WORST realtor in history (no, not our sweet Mary Jane, but another realtor representing the sellers) it appears someone had already put an offer on the house. Unfortunetly, the idiot chose not to inform us as we requested the disclosure and whatnot. UGH. I got all riled up and excited (yes, I actually got excited about living in Richfield, 6 blocks from the airport) – only to be crushed late yesterday afternoon. But, it’s cool. Another will come along. Until then, we’ll continue to coexist in the smallest apartment of all time. I think I was most excited about the possiblity of not having to have my bedroom directly across from the litterbox – but, who wouldn’t?
One more thing…
Category I am a moron, wedding whatnots
…I forgot to mention. In an earlier post I had mentioned about how I felt as though some of the people planning their weddings “didn’t have jobs” because of their planning/bios/scrapbooks. Well, America…I have become one of those girls. And I do have a job. I kept telling myself this whole wedding planning thing wasn’t going to take over my life, but it kind of has. I’m guilty of talking about it all the time (I’m sure with people who don’t care too much, either), I’m on theknot.com’s discussion boards like, all the time…and I’m constantly trying to stay one step ahead of the next planning activity – and staying as organized about all of it as I can. I’m embarassing myself now.
Alright…I’ve admitted it. *sigh* How many months till August?
More items to check off the list!
Category wedding whatnots
Well, as of right now – we have our florist, photographer, and my dress came in! Hooray! It feels SO MUCH BETTER knowing that the biggest items on our list are taken care of. I also love knowing that whenever I want to, I can go to the fiance’s parents house and try on my dress and whatnot…which reminds me my mom said I should cover the dress in a sheet instead of keeping it in the garment bag it was given to me in. It is SO PRETTY. I can hardly wait to wear it! It almost makes me forget why I’m wearing such a pretty dress in the first place. Just kidding dude.
We decided to go with Molly’s Flower Studio and Stephen Geffre for our florist and photographer, respectively. I’m really looking forward to working with both of them. Stephen includes an engagement session in his package…but that will have to wait until my lovely mouth jewelry (read: braces) come off in a few months.
Well, that’s it for now. I’ll just go back to working (sort of) and trolling theknot.com’s discussion boards (more likely).
Getting there…
Category wedding whatnots
So, the lovely Miss Angie accompanied me to another florist appointment last night. We had to drive down Broadway “over north.” After dark. (For the non-Minneapolitans – that’s in da ghetto.) Thankfully there were no drive-bys so we’re okay. But anyway…so hard to decide! Both florists I’ve met with have great ideas – but I guess it’ll come down to price in the end. I like them both! Bah!
Tonight we’re meeting with our first photographer…of the potential 5 we’ll be meeting with. As soon as these two things are out of the way I’m going to feel so much better! (I’m not losing as much sleep anymore.)
